SALISBURY, Md. – Mia Arpante collected three hits and a win in the circle on Thursday as the Mass Destruction 16U travel softball team went 2-0 to stay alive in the loser’s bracket at the double elimination USSSA Eastern Championship.

In the first game of the day, against the Arlington Sage Gold, Arpante doubled and drove in a run in a 6-5 win.

That win sent the Destruction into a matchup with the Edge Kerns, and the Berkshire County squad emerged victorious with a 7-4 win.

Arpante got the start in the circle and went 4 and two-thirds innings, allowing three earned runs, before Pou finished up by striking out four and giving up one hit in 1 and one-third innings.
