The City of Pittsfield's annual Veterans Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m.
For those participating, lineup will take place 9:30-9:45 a.m. on Fenn, Pearl and Allen streets and will leave from City Hall on Fenn Street at 10 a.m. The group will proceed to North Street, turn left, followed by another left on South Street, and continue to Veterans Memorial Park where the ceremony will take place.
This year's guest speaker is Marine Corps Veteran Curtis Janey. The Veteran of the Year is Mr. George Winters, USMC. The Master of Ceremonies will be John Herrera, former Marine, retired Coast Guardsman, and current Director of Veterans' Services for the City of Pittsfield.
Please note that in event of inclement weather, the exercises will be held at Morningside Community School, 100 Burbank St. Stay tuned to local radio stations and Pittsfield Community Television (PCTV) for information pertaining to weather-related updates.
After the ceremonies, there will be a luncheon at the VA Clinic on Eagle Street, as well as "Cuts for Courage", which means free haircuts and a massage for interested veterans. All Veterans and their families are welcome to attend.
