Quinn Caesar has wrapped up a record-setting career at AIC.

Hoosac Valley graduate Trevor Ciempa gets some love from his teammates on the Merrimack College track and field team.

Taconic graduate Ashley Keegan went 8-5 in the circle for her college softball team this spring.

Pittsfield High graduate Alie Hunt Thursday helped her RPI team advance in the Liberty League playoffs.

Mount Greylock graduate Tenley Smith competes for Macalester College.

The 2019 season did not go the way anyone in the American International College men’s lacrosse program may have wanted.

But the program will not soon forget the contributions made by graduating senior Quinn Caesar.

Caesar, a graduate of Wahconah, wrapped up his collegiate career last month when the Yellowjackets ended an 0-16 campaign.

Look beyond those numbers, though, and you see an impressive story.

Caesar set a school record with 63 games played in four years and finished as AIC’s all-time leading scorers among midfielders with 56 goals, and he is eighth on the school’s scoring chart at his position with 79 points.

He scored his final collegiate goal in his final game, at Bentley, where he brought his season total to 19 goals, matching his career high.

Caesar won’t be the last Berkshire County product making an impact at the Springfield school

Taconic High graduate Sal Amaral scored six goals and started six games as a freshman this spring at AIC. Taconic’s Devon Walker, who transferred to American International from DI St. Francis, was a freshman in the lax program this year.

Goalie Vinny Orlandi, another Wahconah graduate, redshirted this season at AIC.

Berkshire County products abound on collegiate lacrosse rosters this spring in venues as close to home as Williams College and as far away as Ohio’s Oberlin College.

At the latter, Mount Greylock graduate Cal Filson wrapped up his junior season with 11 saves in a 14-6 win over Wabash. Filson finished the season with a record of 4-9 between the pipes, stopping 51 percent of the shots he saw and making just fewer than 12 saves per game.

At the former, the season continues for senior Matt Hogan and the Ephs. Hogan, a Mount Greylock graduate, has appeared in three games this spring for Williams, which goes to Medford on Saturday to face rival Amherst in the NESCAC semi-finals.

Jeremy Girard (Wahconah) and the UMass Boston Beacons are in the Little East semi-finals and will face Plymouth State on Friday. Girard, a freshman, is fourth on UMass Boston with 20 points and second in assists with 10 in 17 games (four starts).

In the New England Collegiate Conference/North Atlantic Conference Alliance tournament, a trio of Mount Greylock graduates have put New England College in the title game. Reilly Parker had four goals in a 12-3 semi-final win over SUNY Delhi; he is third on his team with 42 points and first with 22 assists going into Saturday’s title game against SUNY Canton in Northern New York. Patrick Storie is right behind Parker on the team’s scoring table with 34 points (17 goals, 17 assists). Liam Chenail has appeared in 16 games for the Pilgrims, collecting a goal and 10 assists.

Mount Greylock graduate Lucy Barrett scored a goal and set up two more Thursday to help Westfield State to a 14-8 win over Bridgewater State in the MASCAC Tournament semi-finals. Barrett has 11 goals and 14 assists this spring for the Owls (10-9), who will travel to top-seed Framingham State on Saturday to play for the league title.
