DALTON, Mass. -- Teams from Dalton, North Adams, Pittsfield and Williamstown picked up titles at the 22nd annual Dalton CRA Just for Kicks Socccer Tournament on Sunday.
Fifty-five teams of boys and girls in various age groups converged on Nessacus Middle School and Wahconah Regional High School for two days of games starting on Saturday morning.
Teams were drawn from every part of the county plus the Pioneer Valley, Vermont and New York's Capital District.
The hometown squad from Dalton earned the U14 boys championship with a 6-1 win over Pittsfield Soccer Club in the title game.
In the U14 girls, PSC turned the tables, taking a 1-0 win over Dalton in the tournament finale.
North Adams' U12 girls won the Division 1 final, 2-0, over Pittsfield. Williamstown's U12 boys beat Pittsfield, 1-0, in their D1 final.
In Division 2 U12 girls play, South Hadley defeated the Nirvana team from Clifton Park, N.Y., 5-0, in the final. In Division 2 U12 boys, Northampton stopped Dalton, 2-0, in the final.
