the first American woman in space on her birthday, May 26! At 10 a.m., enjoy a space-themed story time geared toward youngsters. From 1-3 p.m., school-age youths are invited to take part in activities at the space stations. The entire family is welcome at each event.

Berkshire Athenaeum welcomes singer and entertainer Judy Cook as she presents Mark Twain: An American Life 1835-1910. You'll see photos of the day and works of art. Judy, in costume, will read quotes and excerpts from Twain's writings, play tunes of the time, and sing songs that were written during his lifetime. The themes are timeless: joy and sorrow, humor, courage and love. 7 p.m.
