NEXT THU (FEB 1) Cupcake Wars at Berkshire Hills Country Club
Bakeries from throughout Berkshire County, including Linda's Pastries, Berkshire Pathways and Simply Sweet will compete at the 4th Annual Cupcake Wars in the categories of Best Tasting, Most Creative, Best Presentation and People's Choice. 

Tickets to this NAMI Berkshire County fundraiser are $35 in advance and $40 at the door, and include an Italian dinner prepared by UNICO and a cupcake tasting. At the end of the evening, a dozen full-size cupcakes from each bakery will be auctioned off to the highest bidders. 5:30-8 p.m.

Popular local country-rock band Whiskey City has been voted "Best Live Band in the Berkshires" the last four years by the Berkshire Eagle readers' poll. See why folks love this high-energy group when they perform live at The A on Friday night at 9:30 p.m. and again on Saturday when they join an all-star lineup to benefit bassist Dale and his family, beginning at 11 a.m.

Pittsfield's city-owned community arts center, the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, features nine working artist studios, a ceramics studio, a community room and an art gallery with changing exhibitions, classes, performances and more! 

28 Renne Ave.   Gallery Hours: Wed-Sat 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
 
Out of the Studio features the artists of the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts: Mario Calouri, Rick Casucci, Peg Dotchin, Julio Granda, Jim Horsford, Sean McCusker and Michael Rousseau. The exhibit will run through Jan. 27.
