Mount Greylock Grad Dils Earns Academic Honor

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Middlebury College senior and Mount Greylock Regional School alumnus Tom Dils has been named a College Sports Information Directors of America District I First-Team Academic All-District selection.
 
Dils of Williamstown and his Middlebury teammate Adam Glaser each were recognized, the college announced on Friday.
 
The pair will be in action at Williams’ Cole Field on Saturday when the Panthers play the Ephs in the quarter-finals of the New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship.
 
Dils currently boasts a 3.92 GPA as an English major. He has been a key contributor off the bench for the Panthers after moving up to a forward position a junior.
 
He opened the season with a goal against Norwich and added helpers in contests with Amherst and Plymouth State. A senior, Dils has played in 54 career matches as a Panthers, including every one over the last two seasons.
 
The pair will now be placed on a national ballot with the Academic All-American team slated to be released on November 18.
