PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Pittsfield Chapter of UNICO is sponsoring a holiday raffle, with the proceeds benefitting Berkshire County Arc and National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) Berkshire County.
The cost to purchase a ticket is $5, and the prize is a $1,000 gift card from Best Buy. The drawing will be held on Monday, Dec. 15.
Tickets can be purchased at the following locations until Friday, Dec. 12:
* Berkshire County Arc, 395 South St., Pittsfield, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
* Elm Street Hardware, 129 Elm St., Pittsfield, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* NAMI Berkshire County, 333 East St., Room 417, Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Founded in 1954, Berkshire County Arc is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization providing a broad range of community-based services to 650 individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and autism throughout Berkshire and Hampden Counties in Massachusetts. The agency offers three day programs, 35 residential programs, employment services, citizen- and self-advocacy programs, respite services, an adult family care program and Zip ‘N Sort Mail Services.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Berkshire County provides information, referral, classes, workshops, support groups and advocacy to family members and caregivers of people living with mental illnesses throughout Berkshire County. NAMI Berkshire County’s vision is one of an integrated community where acceptance and hope are widespread.
The Pittsfield Chapter of UNICO’s motto is “Service Above Self.” The organization’s members volunteer throughout the community. The organization also awards scholarships to local high school and continuing education students annually.
