WORCESTER, Mass. - Chris Torres hit a two-run homerun to cap a ninth inning rally Sunday, propelling the Pittsfield Colonials to 5-4 win over the Worcester Tornadoes.
Trailing 4-2 heading into the ninth, the inning got started for Pittsfield when Jerod Edmondson led off by reaching base on a Chase Fontaine error. Tornadoes’ closer, Rick Asadoorian, was able to strike out the next two batters before allowing a single to Peter Fatase, which scored Edmondson to make it 4-3. Torres stepped up next and deposited a 1-0 pitch over the wall for a 5-4 Pittsfield lead.

WORCESTER, Mass. - Nick Salotti hit a homerun and drove in two runs as the Worcester Tornadoes took game two of their weekend series Saturday against the Pittsfield Colonials by a 4-1 final.
The Tornadoes got on the board with two runs in the second on an Alex Trezza triple, scoring Tony Patane. That was followed by Salotti’s first RBI of the night on a sac fly to plate Trezza for a 2-0 Worcester lead.
The Colonials got on the board in the fourth inning when Angel Molina cracked his first homer of the season, a solo shot to cut the lead to 2-1. WORCESTER, Mass. - Pat Moran struck out a career high 10 batters and did not allow an earned run over 6.2 innings of work as the Pittsfield Colonials opened up a weekend series with a 6-3 win over the Worcester Tornadoes Friday night.
Trailing 1-0 thanks to a sacrifice fly off the bat of Nick Salotti in the fourth, the Colonials grabbed their first lead of the game in the fifth inning. With one out, Jermel Lomack singled. PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Veteran right-hander Chad Paronto tossed all nine innings as the Pittsfield Colonials earned their first win of the second half Wednesday with a 10-1 rout of the Quebec Capitales.
Pittsfield took their first lead of the series in the bottom of the second inning when Peter Fatse clubbed his third homer of the season for a 1-0 Colonials lead. The advantage would be extended in the third when after Danny Bomback and Jerod Edmondson singled to lead off the frame, Billy Mottram tripled to left-center to bring home both runners. PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Former Pittsfield High School baseball standout and current Tampa Bay Ray prospect Matt Torra will again be the host for the 7th Annual Conor Dillon Memorial Golf Tournament.
This year’s shotgun scramble – sponsored by The Pittsfield Cooperative Bank – will be played on Saturday, October 1st, at the Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown, MA. Torra and friends are continuing their fundraising efforts on behalf of the Pittsfield Little Leagues and the Girls’ Softball League.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Pittsfield Colonials and Quebec Capitales saw both of their starting pitchers toss phenomenal ball throughout their Monday night contest with the Capitales prevailing in a 2-0 win.
The Capitales got a pair of runs in the fifth inning as a throwing error and an Ben Gorang single scored Patrick D’Aoust and Jeff Helps for a 2-0 Quebec lead.
Those turned out to be the only two runs of the game as both starting pitchers were fantastic. Bryan Rembisz (5-1) pitched eight shutout innings for Quebec on the day, allowing just two hits. Dan Sausville tossed a perfect ninth for his first save.

RAMAPO, NY – The Pittsfield Colonials saw the Quebec Capitales record 15 hits as the Colonials fell to the Capitales 14-6 Sunday.
The Capitales got on the board to start the second inning on a controversial play. With the bases loaded and no outs, Jeff Helps grounded a ball back to the mound. MacKenzie King threw the ball to home and Scott Knazek fired on to t first base to complete an apparent 1-2-3 double play. However, the home plate umpire ruled that Knazek’s foot was off home plate, resulting in a fielder’s choice and a 1-0 Quebec lead. The Capitales would turn that into a four run inning to take a 4-0 lead.

RAMAPO, NY – Pat Moran and Casey Hodges both pitched through the eighth innings Saturday, but Moran was just a bit better as the Pittsfield Colonials rounded out the first half with a 4-2 win over the Rockland Boulders.

RAMAPO, NY – The Pittsfield Colonials scored four runs in the seventh and eighth innings, but came up one run short as the Colonials fell to the Rockland Boulders 7-6 Thursday.
Pittsfield would start their comeback in the seventh when trailing 7-2 and with Peter Fatse on second, Rafael Cabreja doubled him home to make it 7-3. In the eighth, Johnny Welch led off with a double and moved up on a groundout. On ball four of a walk to Billy Mottram, Welch came home on a passed ball to make it 7-4. The passed ball became academic as on the first pitch to Fatse, the Colonials’ utility man clubbed his second homer of the season to center to cut the lead to 7-6.
