Madonna Rita Warren Webster, 90, of Capitol Square Apartments died Tuesday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided since June 2.
Born in Torrington, Conn., on June 11, 1916, daughter of Thomas and Jenny Carabine Greenwood, she attended schools in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Webster was a homemaker. At one time, she was employed by the former St. Luke's Hospital.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed crocheting.
Her first husband, John Warren, whom she married Dec. 14, 1935, died June 16, 1962.
Her husband, Elliot Webster, whom she married Sept. 1, 1973, died June 3, 1984.
She leaves a daughter, Judy M. Barry of Pittsfield; two stepsons, Donald Webster of Medford and David Webster of Phoenix; two grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren. Another daughter, Nancy Warren, died in October 1953.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Madonna Rita Webster, who died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, will be today, June 15, at 8:30 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Joseph's Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Lanesborough. Calling hours will be this morning from 7:45 to 8:45 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Webster may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
She also leaves a son-in-law, Peter E. Barry; two grandchildren, Nancy Konisky and Anthony Pericolosi; step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and her longtime friend, George Lawor of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by a sister, Pearl Greenwood.
