Rose Bruzzi

Rose Bruzzi, 90, formerly of 120 Onota St., died Tuesday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility.

Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 5, 1915, daughter of James and Mary Carbone Bruzzi, she attended Pittsfield schools.

She was employed at a shoe factory in Chelsea, but was a homemaker for most of her life.

She resided in Pittsford, Vt., for 20 years, moving back to Pittsfield in 1999.

Ms. Bruzzi was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church.

She enjoyed bingo and playing cards.

She leaves four sisters, Mary Pivero of Dalton, Jennie Gaetani of Pittsfield, Catherine Martino of Richmond and Angeline Lahey of Pittsfield and Naples, Fla.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Rose Bruzzi, who died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, will take place Thursday, May 11, at 9 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mount Carmel Church, with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, C.S.S., pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. There are no calling hours. Ms. Bruzzi leaves her niece and caregiver, Judith Levesque of Richmond, and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Nicolina Fino and Anna Bruzzi, and three brothers, James Bruzzi, Frank V. Bruzzi and Joseph Bruzzi.
