PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Theodore E. “Ted” Underhill III, 67, of Bancroft Road passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center. 

Born on May 9, 1950, in Pittsfield, he was a son of the late Theodore E. Underhill Jr. and the late Elizabeth Gardner Underhill. He was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. 

Ted was employed as a carpenter for many years. He was a member of the Greylock Bass Club and the Albany Bassmasters Club. An avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and fishing and received many fishing awards for his bass fishing. He also enjoyed bowling, horseshoes and following NASCAR and the New England Patriots. 

He leaves a son, Gerald Underhill (Judy) of Pittsfield; a step-son, John DiCarlo Jr. (Beth) of Pittsfield; two sisters, Dianne Blake (Edward) of Pittsfield and Patricia Tornicelli (Denise) of Lenox; two brothers, Allan Underhill (Carm) and James Underhill (Angela), both of Pittsfield; several step-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice: At Ted’s request there will be no funeral services or calling hours. Burial will be private.
