PARENT-CHILD WORKSHOP SERIES Great Barrington, 10:30-11:15AM
A 5-series weekly program for adults and their children (baby through 5 years) to learn how to best support early literacy development of their children. Public libraries play an essential role in supporting early literacy within a community, and we're pleased to bring this program here.
If the primary adults in a child's life can learn more about the importance of early literacy and how to nurture pre-reading skills at home, the effect of library efforts can be multiplied many times.
Every Child Ready to Read® is a parent education initiative from the Public Library Association (PLA) and Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC). It stresses how early literacy begins with the primary adults in a child's life. This is a collaboration with South Berkshire Kids and CHP (Children's Health Program).
No drop in; pre-registration required for all five sessions. For more information, call Jess Maloney 413-464-5095 or email southberkshirekids@gmail.com.
