Two Pittsfield Men Arrested After Stabbing Report in North Adams

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Two Pittsfield men were arrested at the Artery Lounge early Saturday morning after reports of a stabbing.   According to the police log, 21-year-old Messiah Grandson and 20-year-old Brandon Green were both arrested at the bar on Union Street. They were both charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Grandson was also charged with assault to murder, armed.   The police log also stated that six involved parties were sent to the hospital.  State police were reportedly at the scene and the section of Union Street in front of thebar was closed to traffic for several hours.   The call was reported at 1:43

21, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on her behalf on single counts of misuse of a credit card and fraudulent use of a credit card in connection with an incident that occurred in Pittsfield on February 16, 2013. She pleaded not guilty to single counts of breaking and entering the daytime with intent to commit a felony and larceny over $250 in connection with a break in Richmond on March 13, 2013.

She was released on $2,500 bail.

, 39, of Lanesborough pleaded guilty to four counts of possession of visual material of a child depicted in sexual conduct.

He was sentenced to two years at the Berkshire County House of Correction on one of those counts and given a one year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on another county. He was placed on two years probation on the remaining counts.

Lane had child pornography on his cell phone on January 31, 2011.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Police have recovered hundreds of pieces of jewelry and other items that are not matching up with their records of items reported stolen in a recent rash of break-ins.

Anyone who has had their home broken into prior to March 22 is being asked to identify their possessions at an open house on Saturday, June 8, from 10 to 2 at the Police Department on Allen Street.

Police say the items either haven't been reported stolen or were stolen from homes outside of city. The investigation is being done by state, Cheshire, Lanesborough and Pittsfield police. Some of the recovered property has already be linked to break-ins in those communities and in

Police Investigating Shooting in Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Police are investigating an alleged shooting Friday night that sent one person to the hospital.

Law enforcement officials are tight-lipped about the incident although it reportedly occured during an altercation in the town.

Police Chief Michael Williams referred all inquiries to the district attorney's office; Fred Lantz, spokesman for the DA's office, said the incident is currently under investigation.

Lantz did say the incident led one person to be transported and later released from the hospital. No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing.

The investigation has included Clarksburg, North Adams and state
